Infinite-dimensional Complex Projective Spaces and Complete Intersections
Let V be an infinite-dimensional complex Banach space and X ⊂ P(V ) a closed analytic subset with finite codimension. We give a condition on X which implies that X is a complete intersection. We conjecture that the result should be true for more general topological vector spaces.

0.1. Notations and Conventions. During this note, we will fix a base field k (e.g. the complex numbers C). The multiplicative group of the field k will be denoted by Gm. All the vector spaces considered will be finite dimensional vector spaces over the field k. For a given vector space V of dimension≥ 1, we will denote the dual vector space, the projective space parameterizing 1-dimensional sub...
متن کاملSecondary Steenrod Operations in Cohomology of Infinite-Dimensional Projective Spaces
The important role of the Steenrod operations Sq in the description of the cohomology of topological spaces, the calculation of various spectral sequences, and the study of homotopy properties of topological spaces and their continuous maps is well known [1, 2]. Projective spaces, in particular RP∞ and CP∞ , play a special role in the construction of Steenrod operations and their computation. I...
متن کاملOn Infinite Dimensional Linear Spaces.
Let X be an abstract linear space and let X* be the space of all linear functionals defined on X. Associated with each norm defined on X is its "norm set," the subspace L of X* consisting of those linear functionals which are continuous with respect to it. Our starting point is the observation that two norms in X define the same topology if and only if their norm sets are identical. This observ...
